Mengding Yellow Bud

Origin & History:
Meng Ding Huang Ya Yellow Tea comes from the misty top of Meng mountain in Sichuan province. It is one of the earliest tea cultivation areas, dating from 2000 years ago. Meng Ding Huang Ya Yellow Tea has been a legendary tribute tea started from Tang era until Qing era.

Planting and Processing:
In early spring, the tender buds are picked and quickly pan fired in small batches to stop oxidation. They are then wrapped in paper pouches in order to dry naturally. This process will be repeated until the grassy character of the tea is removed and the proper level of oxidation has been reserved.

Characteristics:
Tender green buds with slight fuzz. After brewing, the liquor taste sweet and floral with a nutty hint, subtle and slightly grassier than Junshan Silver needle.
